These are available for purchase by schools to assist Year 12 students in preparing for the end-of-year examinations.
In 2019, VATE will publish a modified sample exam for VCE Unit 3 English (Sections A and C).

Read more ›In collaboration with The University of Melbourne, VATE recently commissioned research into the trends associated with VCE English text lists, 2010-2019. The study, led by Dr Alex Bacalja and Dr Lauren Bliss, investigated a range of factors associated with the texts listed for study, including: text types, setting (time and place), protagonist sex and sexuality, authorship, fictionality, and themes.
The findings are designed to stimulate faculty discussions around text selection and to encourage English teachers to think critically about which texts are validated for study.
