Scholarships and Awards

Teacher inclusion scholarship

To ensure that the VATE State Conference is accessible to as many English teachers as possible, two scholarships are available to help remove the financial barriers for eligible applicants. This year’s Teacher Inclusion Scholarships were generously sponsored by VATE and Fremantle Press. The recipients of this year’s scholarships were Mariam Hussein, Al-Taqwa College, and Gabrielle Eckhardt, Camperdown College. You can read more about their experiences at the State Conference here and here.

Marion Meiers scholarship

VATE offers two scholarships teachers to attend the National AATE/ALEA conference to be in July every year.
