IDIOM NO.60

Tales from Beyond Suburbia

This edition of Idiom aims to highlight and amplify the voices of English teachers and students working and living in rural and regional areas around Victoria. It examines what we really mean when we use the terms regional or rural and what are rural and regional issues, and includes teachers writing about their own lived experience residing and working in rural and regional areas, and contributions from both teachers and students exploring curriculum as it pertains to regional and rural English education.

What is Idiom?

Idiom is the journal of the Victorian Association for the Teaching of English and is published online two times a year. Idiom provides an important space for members of the VATE community to share insights, expertise, experiences and practical advice for the benefit of our English teaching colleagues and to help foster professional dialogue and development. Contributions and editorial correspondence should be sent to the Managing Editor, Josephine Smith: idiom@vate.org.au.

No 2: 'Tales from Beyond Suburbia'
