In 2026, VATE will present a series of skills-focused panel discussions featuring experienced English teachers who are enacting each of the Units 3-4 VCE Englishes Study Designs. Building on insights from 2025 – including those drawn from coursework, assessment, and the examination – these sessions will explore effective and engaging ways to develop the key skills and knowledge students need for success across all VCE English pathways.
In conversation with an experienced moderator, a diverse group of VCE teachers will share their expertise and offer examples, advice and reflections from their own classrooms. Each panel will highlight practical classroom strategies and activities that strengthen students’ learning and confidence in applying their skills in coursework, assessment and identified in the final examination and report. Participants will leave these discussions with fresh perspectives, tangible takeaways, and renewed inspiration for their teaching practice.
