Deakin x VATE Hot Topics Seminar: Teaching Digital Writing Seminar Series

Would you like to hear about the latest research into English education and what it means for your classroom, faculty and school?

In partnership with VATE, Deakin University is running three stand-alone online professional learning Hot Topics seminars in 2024. These seminars, led by expert researcher in the field, Associate Professor Lucinda McKnight, will provide an extensive and engaging overview of the most urgent, interesting and impactful research in English, on digital writing.

What you need to know:

• the seminars will be recorded for participants’ access afterwards, and for those who are unable to attend in person.
• different research will be covered in each session.

Each of the three sessions will provide valuable and practical ideas for classroom teaching in relation to digital writing.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be emailed to events@vate.org.au. Cancellations received by 12pm five working days prior to the event date will be charged a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations received after this will receive NO REFUND. Registrations can, however, be transferred to another staff member. Please email events@vate.org.au the details. If you do not attend and have not notified VATE according to the above policy, you will receive no refund.  Please note: If this event is cancelled due to COVID government or venue restrictions, you will receive a full refund.
