Lucinda McKnight

X-rated English: Are the kids all right with the phallic teacher?

Small LucindaLucinda McKnight lectures in curriculum and pedagogy at Deakin University, and has taught English/Literacy methods at Deakin, Monash and RMIT. Her PhD study on English teachers’ curriculum planning has won several awards, including the 2016 inaugural ALEA award for an outstanding doctoral thesis with potential impact on the lives of English teachers. Lucinda has also worked as a producer in the educational publishing industry, gaining four ATOM awards for Commonwealth funded materials promoting inclusion in schools throughout Australia. She is an award winning playwright with her first play produced by London’s Encore Youth Theatre, and a published poet and playwright. She is also a former VATE Council member and former convenor of the State Conference planning committee.
