Literature Network Meeting One - (Recording)

Description

Literature’s cornucopia

Please note: This is a recording of the first meeting that took place on 25 March 2021.
Our first meeting for 2021, on Zoom, will focus on celebrating our subject, and will offer practical examples of what our Literature teachers are doing in their classrooms, how they are building numbers, and how they encourage students’ enjoyment and achievement. Please note: This session will be recorded.

Speakers:

Demet Divaroren, award-winning author, and ex-Literature student

Sarah Darling, Epping Secondary College, on encouraging Lit studies pre-VCE

Bridget Costelloe, University High School, on focusing on Australian texts in Literature in Years 10 and 12

Lee McQueen, Eltham High School, on developing a large and vibrant Literature cohort and culture

This Zoom meeting will run from 4.30PM to 6.00 PM on Thursday 25 March. While we welcome questions and comments through the Chat function, due to time restraints, presenters may not be able to respond to all questions. We will respond to all outstanding questions post-event.
